AN UP-CLOSE & PERSONAL INTERVIEW WITH JODY ABOUT HER WORK:

How long have you been practicing? Personally I like to call myself a Spiritual Medium and Angel Communicator more than a psychic. I choose this wording because I find calling on self psychic to generic, there are many aspects to being a psychic. I work both with spirit and Angels. I use my intuition as well when I work on readings. I hear, see, fee and smell spirit and the messages they send me so there are many layers to how I do a reading depending on the client and the questions they send me. I have been working professionally in this field for well over 25 years now and I still find no matter how long you do this work spirit always seems to surprise you, plus that you never stop learning

What got you started? I have always felt different from everyone once from the time I can remember, I didn’t know anything about being psychic or mediumship at such a young age but i did know I was different by the way I felt especially in groups or large gatherings, People often asked me why I was always talking to myself and I would reply but I'm not cant you see who I am speaking to? Or at times I would just ignore the questions  all together knowing that the given answer would not be received well. From my early teens I got very interested in psychic abilities and read everything I could get my hands on about it. I slowly started to notice that I was the person they were describing and I could do what they were saying in each book. Now mind you I still kept this all to myself and would often go off alone with my books to read and talk to the lady that was always with me. I never knew her name and to this day I still don’t know who she was, but she encouraged me and directed me to areas I needed to read up on. It was due to the passing of my dad that gave me the kick start I needed to really work with and hone my abilities mostly as a medium. I wanted to learn more about the other side and spirit, I often say I dedicate all my work to my father, as I feel when he went to the other side he gave me the boost of confidence I needed to open that side of myself that I had been so quiet about for years.

What makes you stay with it? The clients is what makes me mostly stay with it. Knowing that you have the ability to alleviate someone’s deepest pain is the most amazing gift. To replace tears with smiles, laughter and memories is a feeling that is indescribable. Delivering messages from the Angelic realm is a blessing in itself. To know I can connect and deliver with such beings is wonderful. Delivering their messages gives people such joy and hope that they never had before. To hear someone say they feel so alone then deliver their angelic messages changes them, takes away the loneliness. Which in turn changes their lives on so many levels.

What would you say was your most dramatic reading in terms of what was revealed and how it impacted a client? The one that stand s out in my mind the most is a client called me very grief stricken as she had lost her husband unexpectedly months before. She was on the verge of taking her own life to be with him, We talked for awhile as she needed ( I felt) someone to talk to and to share things with besides just a reading, as we were talking and she was calming down I began to see a huge Hershey's kiss. The image just kept getting larger and larger to the point where i finally had to say I keep seeing something and I feel this is of great importance to you, I told her what I saw and she was silent for some time, when she finally replied back she told me the morning her husband passed away she was asleep when he had left for work, when she had woken up on his side of the bed was a large Hershey kiss stuffed toy holding a bag of kisses, She then realized it was him coming through and he gave such profound messages of comfort to her, that she knew and felt in her heart that she had to let him go and to live life to the fullest. I still keep in contact with this client from time to time who is now married again to a man who adores her and her him, she told me he was a gift from god and I replied” He's a gift from heaven but he was sent to you with a huge kiss, she knew exactly what I meant.

Anytime you have found a reading or a spirit to be funny - as in amusing? I don't normally find readings funny though at times I do get a chuckle from some of the responses i get from clients, which I feel is a good thing because it shows that you have a connection and your client is at ease with you enough to joke around.. What I do find amusing at times though is the spirits and their personalities that come through. Some have sent some very funny memories and messages, which you cant help but laugh over. If a person was a comedian in life energy wise they still will be in spirit so it makes for a very light hearted reading.

How has your work as a psychic affected your personal life; how has it changed you? My work as a spiritual advisor has changed me in many ways, I know in my heart things that I never would have had the answers to if I had not had this connection to spirit. I know when a friend or loved one passes that it is a time to celebrate their life and they don’t want us standing at their grave sites mourning and pining away for them, I have been told this MANY times. My work is who i am, it is apart of me and what makes me. It has never really effected my family life, I married a very understanding man who knows when I am working with a client that this is who i am at that given moment, after my work is done then I become all his again. I have learned over time to separate the two, If I feel I need to be present and accounted for for my husband then work waits till the next day, if a client needs me and is feeling down and out over a loved ones passing, I separate myself from my home life and devote my time to them. Spirit did not allow me to have these abilities I have to neglect a person in need.

How did/do your family and friends react to your choice of work? My family is very quiet about what i do most  times. When I am with my nephews who have the same abilities as myself then it is discussed and talked about till the cows come home.lol  My friend accept me for who I am, and what I do, they know the fun joking side of me, the one that is having a bad day and needs time away from it all, and then the one that needs to focus and be present for people seeking guidance. Its funny, because I have ran into a few old time friends over the last year who never knew this about me and when they find out they don’t seem to treat me any different. For I am who I am, and that's all I can be, friend , medium, healer, teacher, Human!

What keeps you motivated in the work and to keep growing and learning yourself? What keeps me motivated,, well , I have asked  myself that same question many times...Lol and then I will receive an email from a broken shattered client that snaps me right back to being the Spiritual person that I am. To be anything less then true to my gifts would be untrue to myself. I find we never truly stop learning, there is so much knowledge out there that is coming to light from Spirit, how can we not learn from it. How could I help the seekers that come to me if I stopped learning, how could I walk my own chosen path if I stopped learning. We are here to learn and grow, Spirit teaches and we learn, it may be small lessons or grand ones such as were seeing now. What I am referring to is what we have done to mother earth, we have learned that taking and taking has a consequence, Now we are waking up and finally learning to give back. We must never stop learning, for if we do then we become stuck on one place, and that's not what spirit has sent us here to do.

Anything else you want to say about you and your work? Yes the main thing I need people to know is I am not perfect I am not God. I can see the outcome of your situations but I can not make your choices for you, I am boldly honest, ethical, caring, and only want that best for everyone that comes into my life or me theirs. I have seen the damage that some so called psychics have done to people, and I am not them. I work for your highest and your best. I deliver each message whether its from a loved one or an angel, or my intuition. I have studied, and worked very hard to become the Spiritual teacher, guider, healer that I can be and I shall not ever give anyone false hope about anything. I am true to myself as a psychic, and I am true to my clients as well. I treat everyone the same whether your in my home or on the other end of my pc, I give my total honesty, and deliver each message clearly, lovingly.
